About This Waterfall

This appears to be the only waterfall of note on the East Fork Millicoma River. The falls are located rather high up in the drainage, on a section of Weyerhaeuser's Millicoma Tree Farm. The Millicoma River flows under a small bridge, and drops down a 5 foot fall (not shown in the picture above), before splitting into two channels, and plunging 40 feet over a cliff. Though the falls are located almost immediately below the road, and although the falls can be partially seen from the road during the winter, it is necessary to embark on a short bushwhack down a mossy boulder field to reach clear views of the falls. When the surrounding trees are in leaf, the falls likely won't be visible from the road. Millicoma Falls lies on Weyerhaeuser's Millicoma Tree Farm. As of 2014 Weyerhaeuser now requires an annual recreation permit for public access to this area. They only make approximately 1200 permits available each year, at a cost of $350 each, and are specific to the Millicoma Tree Farm, so it won't be transferable for other Weyerhaeuser properties elsewhere in Oregon.
