About This Waterfall
We attempted to survey this waterfall in October 2017 only to find that the Panther Creek Trail, which is shown on the 1:24,000 USGS Mount David topographic quadrangle as passing by the location where the falls are supposed be, has been mothballed by the National Forest Service and becomes indistinguishable after about half of a mile (especially in the autumn with the forest of Vine Maple trees shedding huge beds of yellow leaves all over the forest floor). Hiking cross country for the remainder of the distance to the falls appears to be entirely feasible, however we ran out of time on the first attempt to the area.
