About This Waterfall
There appear to be several small-to-modest waterfalls along the Taylor River between the outlet of Snoqualmie Lake and the confluence with Nordrum Creek. Exactly which of these bore the name of Nordrum Falls is not clear. While we had previously labeled this waterfall as Taylor Falls, it appears that the name Nordrum Falls was historically correct for at least one set of waterfalls along the Taylor River in the vicinity of this location. The falls were marked by name on a 1938 map of the North Bend Recreation Area, which pre-dates the modern Alpine Lakes Wilderness, but as stated above it isn't clear which of the potentially three or four distinct sets of waterfalls which appear to occur in this area were named Nordrum Falls.
