About This Waterfall
Parry Falls is shown on the NRCan maps. Some sources claim 40 meters in height, however photograph evidence substantiates a claim of the main fall being an 8 meter punchbowl. Other sources include numerous rapids downstream, which might account for the 40m claims. The Lockhart River was once known as Ah-Hel-Dessy. Ts'ankui Theda means "Old lady of the falls", given as a local medicine woman was said to have sat in a recess behind the falls.
