About This Waterfall

Driving south on US 97, into Twin Falls, proceed 1 mile from the signed Gold Course Road. Turn west onto Canyon Springs Road after crossing the Perrine Bridge, and proceed .7 mile to a sharp switchback, lined with Jersey Barriers. Walk around the corner of the wall to the falls, which is also visible from the road. A path leads behind the falls, and eventually back to the road further downstream. This is actually a rather unique falls, because it's flow increases during the summer. This occurs because overflow from irrigation canals farther upstream gathers in the coulee (valley) then flows downstream to the falls. I was only able to catch it at a medium flow period. You can see a picture of the falls with about 3 times the water pictured here at the official site for A Waterfall Lover's Guide to the Pacific Northwest. Idaho has lots of unknown falls, and if you are ever in Twin Falls, do not overlook this one. There is also a spectacular view of the Perrine Bridge that crosses the Snake River Canyon a short ways down the road. I suspect that Perrine Coulee Falls are visible from the bridge.
