About This Waterfall

The falls are best seen from a series of pullouts along Highway 99 located 8 kilometers west of the junction of Highways 99 and 12 in Lillooet.Phair Falls is the name which has been colloquially applied to a tall but low volume waterfall spilling off the side of the northern arm of Mount Brew into Cayoosh Creek canyon. The falls plunge approximately 350 feet in three major steps before the creek largely sinks into the talus substrate lining the lower canyon wall and flows inconspicuously into Cayoosh Creek at the bottom of the canyon. The stream along which the falls occur is not thought to be named and appears to be fed by a series of small snowfields shielded from melting by the north face of the northern arm of Mount Brew, so outside of the cold winter months when the falls freeze solid, there should remain a constant flow in the stream for most of the year - though greatly diminished in the late summer.
