About This Waterfall
Piegan Falls is produced by the melt stream flowing off the Piegan Glacier, just north of the Going-to-the-Sun Road in Glacier National Park. The falls should be visible from the Piegan Pass Trail, however there seem to be very few pictures floating around on the internet depicting the falls. This leads us to believe that the falls are not terribly significant, despite potentially being one of the tallest waterfalls in Glacier National Park. More recent imagery available through Google Earth seems to corroborate this idea, and suggests that the whole falls may not be visible due to the tight confines of the cleft in the cliff which the stream descends.
