About This Waterfall
Pumpelly Basin Falls is situated below the northernmost lobe of the Pumpelly Glacier in Glacier National Park. The falls drop out of the glacier and flow down a gully right below the divide between the Pumpelly and Pumpkin Glaciers, dropping about 1,000 feet in all. A second stream comes down from a point further south on the glacier and produces a second waterfall of similar height.
