About This Waterfall
Rainbow Falls can be seen thundering from beneath the toe of the Rainbow Glacier from the Chilkat Inlet south of the town of Haines. The falls are over a mile inlant from the shore of the inlet and the headwall which produces Lower Rainbow Falls appears to prevent access on foot, so more distant vistas may be the limit of visibility for this waterfall. It appears likely that the falls could be seen from Chilkat State Park, which is accessible from Haines and won't require boat travel to access (coming from Canada that is).
