About This Waterfall
At the outlet of Lower Rainbow Lake in the Gore Range, Norris Creek drops around 700 feet in a run of about a fifth of a mile. Topographic data suggests that at the very least the final 500 feet of that drop is a waterfall, but it is very possible - likely even - that the majority of the 700 foot drop is one long series of cascades, which would tie West Fork Chama Falls for the title of tallest waterfall in Colorado.
