About This Waterfall
Rancheria Falls was apparently at one time known as Five-Fingers Falls, likely stemming from the tendency of part of the falls to split into several channels as it plunges over a broad ledge. There is a possibility that this name may have been applied to one of the other cascades along Rancheria Creek, but we feel that this is the most likely candidate to have held the title.
