About This Waterfall
This feature is what is known as a Reversing Falls, or a Tidal Waterfall. The "fall" is caused as tide water surges through a shallow narrows - when the tide is high, the sea level is higher than the inlet and the water appears to pour in, and likewise when the tide goes out, the inlet surges out through the narrows. This particular reversing waterfall has a maximum tide differential of 10.6 meters (or nearly 35 feet) which is rather substantial, but it still isn't a waterfall.
