About This Waterfall
From Chinook Pass, follow Highway 410 east for 22 miles and turn north on the Little Naches River Road. Drive north for about 3 ½ miles to the viewpoint and falls immediately next to the road. This dainty little waterfall seems highly out of place on the rather placid Little Naches River. A portion of the river is diverted into a fish ladder next to the 8-foot waterfall, reducing the size and quality in the summer. In addition to this, a series of concrete weir dams doubling as part of the fish ladder have been placed in the river below the falls. Why a fish ladder was built here escapes me, because fish ought to be able to jump a waterfall less than 10 feet tall. In any case, if you have to see this one, don't waste more than 5 minutes here, this is an easily forgettable waterfall.
