About This Waterfall
Seerenbachfälle is one of the tallest waterfalls in Switzerland with a cumulative drop of 585 meters (1919 feet). The falls consist of three distinct drops, with heights of 50 meters (164 feet), 305 meters (1001 feet) and 190 meters (625 feet) respectively, with the remaining height made up in interstital cascades between each drop. The Seerenbach is a fairly small stream and the falls appear likely to dry out during the late summer months when there is little precipiatation, but they flow strongly in the winter and spring when snow is melting. Adjacent to the base of the falls is Rinquellenfall, which pours out of the side of the cliff.
