
About This Waterfall
Les Sept Chutes is one of two large waterfalls on the Sainte-Anne River. The falls are commonly said to drop 130 meters, however this is almost certainly a measure of the generating head for the associated hydroelectric station. In actuality the falls drop about 50 meters in five steps, with the remaining two of the seven steps its name implies being found approximately a kilometer further downstream near the powerhouse.
