About This Waterfall
Serenity Falls is a tall but relatively low volume waterfall found near the end of the Eklutna Lake Road in Chugach State Park east of Anchorage. The falls are commonly said to be about 700 feet tall, though topographic data suggests it actually may be upwards of 1,000 feet tall - possibly as much as 1,300 feet tall in all. The falls are made up of at least seven distinct tiers, though it is likely that there are several more which aren't quite apparent from the valley floor. The falls will flow best during the spring melt season and may not be very noteworthy during the late fall months unless there has been recent or frequent rain fall.
