Name of Waterfall

Seven Falls

Description

Seven Falls is a popular tourist destination outside of Colorado Springs. The falls have been claimed in the past to stand 300 feet tall, however topographic and lidar data both indicate this to be a gross exaggeration, and the actual height is about 185 feet. Additionally, in spite of its name, the falls actually consist of five distinct tiers rather than seven - a very liberal interpretation of how the stream impacts on two shelves in the final tier of the falls led to it being counted as three different drops, however as the water never actually pools at either of these ledges, it should be considered one congruent drop.
