About This Waterfall
No Information available.Silver Falls is a seasonal waterfall which occurs along the outlet stream originating from tiny Cultus Lake, high above Monte Cristo. The old Poodle Dog Pass / Silver Lake trail used to cross the stream below the falls, presumably within sight of it (it looks like it was still several hundred feet downstream from the falls however), but the trail was relocated and it is no longer easy to view - it can be seen through the trees from a rock slide area however. Because the drainage basin is so small, the falls will only flow during the snow melt season. We passed by in early September 2016 and it was entirely dry.Silver Falls is apparently the historically correct name for this waterfall, presumably in relation to its position on the side of Silvertip Mountain or proximity to Silver Lake. Why none of the waterfalls at the outlet of Silver Lake or along Silver Creek itself weren't given that name is not known.
