About This Waterfall
Sjurhaugfossen is a small series of cascades on the Lærdalselvi that drops about 9 meters collectively in a narrow gorge, with the largest individual drop falling about 5 meters. The name of this waterfall has been often mis-attributed to the much more significant Galdanefossen which can be seen cascading into Lærdalen about 1.6 kilometers further down the valley.
