About This Waterfall
Slicking Falls is one of the tallest waterfalls in the Carolinas, dropping approximately 400 feet as a long sliding cascade over a run of about one-third of a mile. The falls are located within the closed Table Rock Reservoir watershed, and are not accessible to the public, but it should be distantly visible from the summit of Table Rock across the valley. Topographic data suggests that the falls could actually be considerably taller than our initial estimates, potentially as much as 600 feet overall, which would make Slicking Falls the tallest waterfall in the southeastern United States.
