About This Waterfall

Evolution Creek tumbles out of its namesake lake to form this huge cascading-type fall. The creek spreads out over an expanse of bedrock up to 150 feet in width and cascades over 250 feet down the valley's headwall. Because of the large basin which Evolution Creek drains from contains several significant, high-altitude lakes, there is usually ample water supply in the creek through the summer months, making this one of the few large waterfalls in the Sierra to flow consistently all year long.
