About This Waterfall

From the Lougheed Highway in Agassiz follow Hot Springs Road to the town of Harrison Hot Springs. Turn right onto Lillooet Road in Harrison Hot Springs and follow signs towards Sasquatch Provincial Park. After entering the park, turn left at the end of the paved road onto the East Harrison Main and follow it for 7.2km to the bridge over Slollicum Creek and the falls just upstream. Be cautious about logging trucks and expect the road to be rough.Slollicum Creek Falls is the first set of waterfalls along Slollicum Creek as it makes a lofty though obscured descent to meet the waters of Harrison Lake in the upper Fraser Valley. The falls drop a total of approximately 1200 feet in at least five major steps, though there is a high likelihood of several additional - though smaller - steps being interspersed between the larger ones. The largest drop appears to be in the vicinity of 400 feet in height. Unfortunately due to the narrow twisting shape of the canyon where the falls are located, only the final two tiers, which drop about 250 and 50 feet respectively, are visible with any ease. The entire set of falls should be visible from the air over Harrison Lake and possibly from watercraft on Harrison Lake itself. This waterfall is often confused for Rainbow Falls which in actuality lies downstream near the mouth of Slollicum Creek, and was listed as such in Tony Greenfield's excellent book "Waterfalls of British Columbia".
