About This Waterfall
Stubblefield Falls is a minor set of rapids along the Potomac River just downstream of Yellow Falls. The river flows across a rough section of bedrock here, and in lower flow periods will funnel into a shallow trough of sorts. The river drops about 3 vertical feet, but over a run of nearly 500 linear feet, which makes any sort of change in elevation essentially impossible to perceive. Stature and signficance lacking, this feature has been flagged as disqualified.
