About This Waterfall
With a drop of over 300 feet, T Lake Falls is one of the tallest waterfalls in New York State. The falls roll over a long convex dome-shaped rock, first sliding gradually and then pitching steeper as it nears the base. Because of this rolling cliff there are no perspectives from which to view the entire falls safely, and in result there have been several fatalities here where visitors have scrambled too far down the cliff in attempt to achieve a better view of the falls and have lost their footing due to the steep, slick rock. The trail to the falls is apparently no longer maintained and visiting the location now entails a roughly 2-mile long bushwhack following the 3-mile hike to T-Lake itself.
