About This Waterfall
All evidence we have come across points to Tufa Falls not qualifying as a legitimate waterfall despite what the USGS has suggested with their naming of the feature. Spring Creek squirts out of a hole in the ground and cascades about 500 feet down a long gully filled with chunky rocks and boulders. There doesn't appear to be any real bedrock contact, so it simply doesn't meet our criteria for being considered a waterfall.
