About This Waterfall

Twin Cascade is a pretty descriptively titled waterfall found near the eastern portal of the Hoosac Tunnel in the town of Florida. Two streams, Cascade Brook and an unnamed watercourse, tumble down their respective ravines forming waterfalls of about 50 and 80 feet respectively, then upon merging into one stream, continue to cascade for another 20 feet or so. Various sources tell of differing accounts regarding the access to this waterfall. The Hoosac Tunnel is part of an active branch of the CSX Railway and walking along the tracks is considered to be trespassing, so there are apparently signs in the area suggesting that it may not be possible to legally access the waterfall. However, it has also been frequently reported that hiking to the falls is okay, so judge for yourself upon visiting and beware of private land.
