About This Waterfall

The falls or rapids are seemingly inundated by the backwater of the dam that forms Perry Lake.The falls were originally called Grasshopper Falls, after the river, which was subsequently renamed Delaware River. The falls name was changed by a postmaster to Sautrell Falls, then back to Grasshopper Falls by the next postmaster. A third postmaster changed the name to Valley Falls.
