About This Waterfall
West Fork Chama Falls may be the tallest waterfall in Colorado, or at least share the title with one or two other falls. The small West Fork Chama River veils and cascades about 700 feet from a tiny basin immediately east of the Continental Divide and can be seen from the West Fork Chama Trail. The small drainage area precludes this waterfall from achieving a substantial flow at any time of year and by the late summer months the falls most likely run dry.
