About This Spring

## Overview Whitehouse Artesian Springs is a family-owned and operated artesian spring water facility located at 8100 West Ridge Road in Elyria, Ohio. Founded in 1956, the spring was discovered when Newton Baus was digging a water well for his new home on the west side of Elyria. During the excavation, water bubbled up naturally from the ground — a hallmark of artesian pressure, where an underground aquifer is confined under enough pressure to push water to the surface without pumping. Baus had the water tested and it proved to be of excellent quality, prompting him to build a vending facility near his home to share the water with the community. For decades since, Whitehouse Artesian Springs has served the Elyria area and surrounding Lorain County as a trusted source of spring water. The water has been reported to be of excellent quality, drawing loyal customers who return regularly to fill their own containers. The facility also offers pre-bottled water, distilled water, coolers, and cups, as well as a home and office delivery service covering seven counties in the surrounding area. ## Directions 1.
