Williamsport Falls

Williamsport Falls has been often cited as dropping 96 feet, however this measurement has proven to be inaccurate. The falls were measured using a plumb line and found to drop 62 feet. It has been suggested that the discrepancy in the cited height of the falls may be due to part of the cliff collapsing around the falls over the years, however it is quite unlikely that enough of the cliff has collapsed to cut 30 feet off of the height of the falls while still leaving the large pool below the falls intact.
