About This Waterfall
Yellow Falls was formerly a wide block-type waterfall which dropped about 5 meters along the Mattagami River. It was destroyed by the construction of a dam and hydroelectric generating station in 2015. The spillway channel from the dam sends water down a series of rapids and minor cascades in place of the original falls.
