About This Waterfall
The waters of Río Yutajé collect on Cerro Yutajé, a flat topped mountain called a Tepui. Rivulets form streams, streams become rivers then rivers leap off the edge in magnificent displays. Salto Yutajé is a tall plunge followed by a probable series of falls in a deep jungle festooned gorge. The falls were surveyed at 2345' (715m), but no information regarding individual drops was mentioned. The falls are named for the river (Río Yutajé) and the mountain (Cerro Yutajé).
