About This Waterfall

This modest waterfall is one of the largest of the numerous cascades along Brice Creek. The stream courses over and through a series of potholes in a shallow gorge, then bends 90 degrees and slides into a deep blue pool - hence the name. During higher water, because of the nature of the streambed above the falls, the creek is much more powerful, and the falls turn into a natural fire hose of sorts, chuting powerfully away from the small ledge. Also, depending on the water levels, the viewpoints from the streambed may become submerged if the creek is running high. The pool below the falls begs to be swum in, so be sure to remember your swimming suit, or at least a towel. This waterfall is widely known as Parker Falls to the kayaking community due to its proximity to Parker Creek. However, because Lower and Upper Parker Falls on Parker Creek occur within 1/4 mile of this entry, this could create a lot of confusion, so I propose this waterfall be named Blue Hole Falls for the striking pool.
