About This Waterfall
Exit Interstate 5 at Cottage Grove (Exit 174) and drive east on Row River Road for approximately 19 1/2 miles to signed Brice Creek Road # 22. Follow Brice Creek Road for 10.8 miles to the fourth bridge across Brice Creek, where the trailhead is marked. Parking is provided on the right. Follow the moderately steep trail for ½ mile, staying left at the first junction, then left again at the second where the Upper Falls are marked with a sign. The trail ends in another ¼ mile at the top of the Upper Falls. Clear views can be achieved by scrambling 20 feet down the slope from the trail.Upper Parker Falls is technically larger than its lower counterpart, but it isn't nearly as impressive. Like the lower falls, this one consists of a series of drops that don't seem to have a conclusive beginning or end. In fact, the whole series of waterfalls along Parker Creek could easily be considered one continuous waterfall - though branding it as, for example, "Parker Cascades" would make more sense. The forest service didn't develop the trail to this waterfall terribly well and because the upper tier of the upper fall is the only one easily seen, visitors will likely experience a feeling of dissatisfaction. Downstream from the tier visible from the end of the trail is another 15-foot slide, which is almost impossible to see without more technical scrambling.
