About This Waterfall
Caesura Falls is the second of five major waterfalls known to occur along Tanner Creek in the Columbia River Gorge. The falls drop approximately 20 feet in three distinct channels. There is no easy access to the falls and the nearest trail lies nearly 800 vertical feet above the canyon where the falls are located. The falls were first seriously documented by Andy Prahl in 2005. The proposed name is meant to point out the calm nature of the stream both above and below the falls. A Caesura is defined as "an audible pause in Meter (either in spoken word or in music - punctuation is an example)". In this case its a quite literal interpretation in a sense.
