About This Waterfall
Giant Falls is a significant waterfall found on the south side of the Mahoosuc Range not far from Gorham. The falls are commonly said to drop around 350 feet in total, though it looks more likely that the total height is closer to 250 feet, with the largest individual drop standing around 100 feet tall on its own. A portion of the falls can be distantly seen from Highway 2 along the Reflection Pond near Gorham, though at over two miles away it isn't much to get worked up over. The Peabody Brook Trail leads past the falls, offering vistas of the largest portion, but whether the remainder of the falls can be safely accessed up close is unknown.
