About This Waterfall

Heath Falls is the first major waterfall along the North Fork of the American River in Royal Gorge. The falls consist of back-to-back plunges of about 45 feet each, followed by a 5-10 foot tall plunge where the river squeezes through an extremely narrow crack in the gorge (this final drop may be submerged during high flow periods). The falls apparently lie on privately held land and up-close views are not possible without trespassing. The upper tier of the falls is not thought to be publicly accessible because of this.
