Hidden Falls

Hidden Falls are found in Moran State Park on Orcas Island. From the Ferry dock at East Sound, follow the main road around the Island for 14 miles to the Mount Constitution Road, turning left. Park at the marked trailhead about 1/4 mile further. Hidden Falls are found by hiking down to Cascade Creek, first arriving at Rustic Falls, then heading left(upstream) for another 1/3 mile where the trail intersects a service road. After another 1/5 of a mile of walking along the road, the trail branches off to the left and a bridge spans Cascade Creek immediately above the falls.Though its not quite the smallest waterfall in Moran State Park (though it is close), Hidden Falls is a very forgettable cascade that probably only got recognition because its located on an island. Here Cascade Creek skips about 8-10 feet down an inclined wall just below a footbridge. The falls are only 'hidden' because the trail doesn't pass in front of the falls as it rounds a small knoll. Those looking for waterfalls on Orcas Island might as well check this one out, since its so close to the other three falls on Cascade Creek, but don't mistake this for a legitimate destination - its really not worth the time unless you have nothing better to do.
