About This Waterfall

Of New York's many waterfalls titled High Falls, this particular one occurs along the Beaver River just below a significant dam. The falls cascade steeply for perhaps 60 feet immediately below the spillway of the 1,200 foot wide dam which retains High Falls Pond. As the river here has been regulated in a hydroelectric system, the falls may not flow during periods of dry weather.
