About This Waterfall
Katahdin Falls is one of the tallest waterfalls in the state of Maine. Initially topographic data suggested the falls might be as much as 800 feet tall over the course of several tiers, however with more recently available and higher quality aerial imagery shown on Google Earth, it's clear that the falls are in fact nowhere near that tall. Our current estimates place the height of the falls at around 200-250 feet in two to three distinct steps, with the tallest being about 200 feet on its own, however Lidar data suggests it may not even be that tall and may instead max out at about 165 feet.
