About This Waterfall
Klondike Pond Falls is a long sliding cascade which sheets down smooth granite slaps above Klondike Pond, just northwest of Hamlin Peak in Baxter State Park. The falls appear to drop in the vicinity of 300 feet, which makes it the tallest waterfall in Maine by a good margin. The stream drains from a small area, so its flow will likely be quite limited for much of the year, but it's unclear whether it runs dry in the summer (it is likely).
