About This Waterfall
Kyrfossen is a colloquially named waterfall which can be seen tumbling down the mountainside next to the town of Vikøyri in Vik. Based on one-meter contour topographic maps the falls appear to drop about 425 meters (1,395 feet) in all, however the lower 100 meters or so of the descent is partly obscured by the surrounding forest. The majority of the falls can be seen clearly from town and along Fv 92 on the west side of the bay.
