About This Waterfall
Crabtree Falls is often claimed to be the tallest waterfall east of the Mississippi River. In reality there appear to be three distinct and entirely separate sections of falls along the creek, segregated by stretches of gentler cascading stream. This distinct middle falls on Crabtree Creek occurs about 500 feet upstream of the top of the lower, and 750 feet downstream of the base of the upper sections.
