About This Waterfall

Red Rock Falls can be found where Route 23A crosses over Kaaterskill Creek between the towns of Palenville and Haines Falls. As there are no pull outs along the road in the immediate vicinity it isn't easy to appreciate the falls, but motorists can look down on the falls from the bridge. Be wary of pedestrians who may be walking along the road in attempt to view the falls as well.Moore's Bridge Falls is a commonly used name as the falls are straddled by the current Moore's Bridge (the original long since destroyed and rebuilt), but the colloquially accepted name is Red Rock Falls, stemming from the hue of the bedrock in the area.
