About This Waterfall
Ringeriksfossen is a horsetail type waterfall located at the upper end of Muradalen just outside the town of Rosendal in Kvinnherad. The falls drop approximately 100 meters just below Prestavatnet. A second but separate waterfall is found a short distance downstream. The stream that produces Ringeriksfossen appears to be partially regulated at at least two different locations in the basin above, however we haven't yet seen any evidence to suggest the falls run dry as a result of whatever diversions may be in place.
