About This Waterfall
Silvertip Falls was located along Coursier Creek just upstream from its confluence with the Columbia River near Revelstoke. The falls were significant and a well known attraction prior to the construction of the Revelstoke Dam, but once the dam was completed the impounded Revelstoke Lake almost entirely submerged the falls. A small part of the falls remains, pouring directly into Revelstoke Lake, which can only be accessed by watercraft. Several editions of the Kootenay Rockies BC Backroad Mapbook incorrectly labels this waterfall along St. Cyr Creek.
