About This Waterfall
Simmefäll is a two-stepped cascading type fall which drops about 20 meters into a narrow natural bedrock sluice. About 250 meters further downstream is a second sliding cascade type fall which drops about 80 meters vertically in a run of 330 meters. This lower cascade has been considered to be part of Simmefäll by some sources, but the Swiss topographic maps only label the uppermost fall by name. Given the distance separating the two drops, we feel it most appropriate to consider them separate waterfalls.
