About This Waterfall
Staubbachfall is one of the most well known and iconic waterfalls in Switzerland. The falls drop a sheer 297 meters into the famous Lauterbrunnen valley, often breaking into a fine mist before the water reaches the bottom of the valley. The drainage area of the Staubbach is not terribly large, so the volume of the falls can be considerably reduced later in the summer after the seasonal snow has melted off.
