About This Waterfall
Tenaya Cascade is the third in a series of long, sliding cascades along Tenaya Creek. This one, found about a quarter mile downstream of the foot of Pyweak Cascade, drops perhaps 150 feet in a run of about 350 feet, terminating in a small pool. Because of its very isolated position in the deepest, most rugged part of Tenaya Canyon, access to this waterfall is extremely difficult and not at all recommended. The name Tenaya Cascade was originally applied to Pyweak Cascade before its name was officially adopted. This waterfall had been historically without a title, so as a reference point we've opted to migrate the title Tenaya Cascade to this entry.
