About This Waterfall
Though a few of the waterfalls which make up the aptly named Thousand Springs still exist, the falls which gave the springs its very fitting name has been entirely destroyed by the construction of the Thousand Springs Hydroelectric Plant. Formerly literally thousands of springs and seeps leaped out of the side of the Snake River plateau, creating an 1,800-foot wide wall of waterfalls.
